As per reports coming in, the actress will join the Congress party. There has been no confirmation from either the party or the actress. But Kamya’s reply to a tweet affirming her decision has confirmed the news.
It is speculated that the actress will soon make an official announcement of the same. An ETimes TV report said though the actress had always aspired to join politics, her busy schedule did not leave any time for her. Hence, now that her show, Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki has come to an end, she is aiming to try her luck in politics. “Kamya always aspired to get into politics. However, she couldn’t take the plunge earlier due to her work and busy schedule. Now that her show Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki has wrapped up, she has decided to take the plunge,” the report said.
Kamya is doing acting for almost 20 years. She has been part of various hit shows like Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak?, and Beintehaa. She is quite active on social media. Her views on the contestants of Bigg Boss go viral in no time. Recently, Kamya was also seen taking a stand for Aryan Khan. She called out the judicial system of the country for harassing the star kid with no strong evidence against him.
