Preity Zinta Ever Dated Salman Khan? Veer-Zaara Star Says ‘He’s Family And…’
Preity Zinta recently took to social media to wish Salman Khan on his birthday, posting several nostalgic pictures of the duo. In the heartfelt tribute on X (formerly known as Twitter), Preity shared a series of photos, some showing her and Salman smiling and holding each other, while others featured moments from their film shoots. One image even showed them playfully posing with their feet on a table.
“Happy Burrday @BeingSalmanKhan Just wanna say I love you the mostest . Rest will tell you when I speak to you ….. and yes we need more photos otherwise I will keep posting the same old ones! Ting ,” Preity wrote alongside the photos. Her affectionate message and fondness for Salman were clear, but it was a follow-up comment that caught the attention of fans.
In response to a user who asked if the two ever dated, Preity clarified the nature of their relationship, saying, “No not at all! He is family & my closest friend and my husband’s friend too .. just in case you were wondering . Sorry! Couldn’t resist .” Preity’s light-hearted response put to rest any speculations about a romantic relationship, emphasizing their deep friendship and Salman’s bond with her husband, Gene Goodenough.
Preity and Salman have shared a strong on-screen partnership over the years, appearing in several popular films together, including Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega (2000), Chori Chori Chupke Chupke (2001), Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa (2004), Jaan-E-Mann (2006), and Heroes (2008). Their camaraderie and friendship have always been well-loved by fans.
Preity also addressed another question regarding Bollywood romances, with a fan lamenting the loss of meaningful love stories since the days of filmmaker Yash Chopra. Preity shared her thoughts, saying, “I was thinking the same. Hopefully, some good writing & new ideas will emerge from someone whose heart is in the right place. I’m waiting just like you.”
When asked about how she unwinds after a busy day, Preity shared a glimpse into her life as a mother of twins, revealing that there is little time to relax with her 3-year-old children, Jai and Gia. “There is really no unwinding when you have 3-year-old twins because I try to be as present as I can, so I don’t feel crazy guilt when I travel for work trips or shoots,” she wrote.
Preity, who married Gene Goodenough in 2016, is preparing for her return to acting with the highly anticipated film Lahore 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The film, produced by Aamir Khan Productions, marks her first major film project in years and features an impressive cast, including Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Sunny Deol, and Karan Deol.
