The actor has constantly performed exceptionally well in every role he has taken on, from his outstanding debut in Band Baaja Baaraat to his most recent release, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Ranveer discussed the reasons behind his decision to pursue acting in an interview with Deadline, citing the late great Amitabh Bachchan as a key figure in his career. Ranveer Singh was asked about the movie that inspired him to become an actor during the interview. Though he was unable to name a specific movie, he acknowledged that Amitabh Bachchan—the venerable icon of Hindi cinema—was the source of his inspiration. 

The Gully Boy actor immediately brought up Martin Scorsese when asked about potential collaborators, taking into account those with whom he hasn’t yet worked. He disclosed that the last movie he saw in theaters was Killers of the Flower Moon. He also said he was looking forward to seeing Napoleon, the movie that had just come out in theaters. Singh also lauded Scorsese’s present position as a great artist.

Ranveer also addressed the question of what profession he would have chosen if he hadn’t been an actor. He disclosed that becoming a teacher or a writer was his fallback career choice.

In Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Ranveer played Rocky Randhawa for the last time. There are rumours that he is working on Baiju Bawra, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, with Alia Bhatt. Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Tiger Shroff are among the A-list actors who will appear in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, a police drama. Furthermore, Singh will star in Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3, which is already generating buzz thanks to a first-look poster.
