Priyanka Chopra Supports Her Friend Meghan Markle Facing Racism In The Royal Family

The Royal Family of Britain is under a lot of speculations after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave their interview to Oprah Winfrey. During the interview that aired on Monday, the two opened up about the treatment they received in the institution and why they left their services as senior royal members. Meghan Markle even opened up about hearing concerns about the dark color of her baby Archie which shocked everyone. Now, we’ve got our hands on an old interview of Meghan Markle’s very close friend Priyanka Chopra wherein she opened up on the racism that the two were subjected to at the hands of the royals.

In 2019, Priyanka who also shared a good bond with Meghan had commented on the press’ criticism and called it ‘really unfortunate’ and ‘racist’. To Sunday Times, she had said, “Of course, it has to do with racism, it’s an obvious reason. The beauty of Meg is that she’s been herself through all of this. A lot of people got to know her after everything, but I knew her before [she started dating Harry] and she’s the same chick. Now she’s got a real platform, she talks about the same things she always did.”

During the interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan had spoken about her son Archie not being given a title or security. “All around this same time, we have in tandem the conversation of he won’t be given security, he’s not going to be given a title, and also concerns and conversations as how dark his skin might be when he’s born,” she said.
