Raashii Khanna recently spoke openly about her relationship with Sidharth Malhotra and revealed the secret to their sizzling on-screen chemistry. Raashii Khanna returns to Bollywood 11 years after her debut film, Madras Cafe. Her performance in the film Yodha, in which she played a negotiation in-charge officer, amazed everyone.

Raashii Khanna talks candidly about her friendship with Sidharth Malhotra in an interview with News18 Showsha, admitting that their real-life friendship isn’t the strongest. Having said that, she continued, “There was no ice that needed to be broken because they had a respectful relationship while shooting.” Additionally, Raashii mentioned that Sidharth fit her type.
“I’m an introverted person just like him. We aren’t great friends. It’s not like we’re buddies or we talk all the time. We share a good and respectful co-star relationship. During the shoot, we would keep to ourselves. There wasn’t really any ice to break. When I met him, I thought he was my type. He also felt like I was his type since we’re both introverts. And so, we never tried to encroach on each other’s spaces.”

Raashii said they both have a good understanding of the industry when asked what their on-screen chemistry is hidden. The actress also said that while she was aware that Sidharth and she would look wonderful on screen, she was unaware of the overwhelming support they would receive from the public. According to her words:
“We understand the craft. We know what’s required of us as actors every time a love song comes our way. I knew that we looked good on screen, but I couldn’t have imagined that we would get such an amazing response from the audience. They loved us together. It’s great that it worked.”

However, Raashii stated that because she and Sidharth were both born in Delhi, they were able to quickly connect. In a similar vein, the Farzi actor revealed that they frequently discussed the city, literature, and their own movies. Raashii came to a conclusion.
“We also share the Delhi connection. But the only thing ‘Delhi’ about us is our accent (laughs). He asked me, ‘Tu Dilli se hai?’ After that, we had some conversations about the same city. He also reads and so, I had some conversations on books with him and about films in general.”
