Bollywood couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have surprised everyone with their announcement of having a baby soon. Ranbir, who is busy with the promotions of his upcoming film Shamshera is getting surrounded by the questions of embracing fatherhood in each of his interviews these days. In one such interaction, the Rockstar actor revealed that his age became one of the prime reasons to start his own family.
Ranbir said that people start having thoughts of having a baby more when they are about to hit 40 years of age. He stated, “This also happens when a man is nearing 40, you start thinking these things also, that ‘yaar mera baccha jab 20 saal ka hoga, to main 60 ka hounga (when my child will be 20, I will be 60). Will I be able to play any sports, do things, go on any trek?”
Shamshera director Karan Malhotra, who was present with Ranbir shared how the actor was excited to have kids even before his marriage with Alia. “His enthusiasm for becoming a father is something else. I remember when we told him we have a baby. His first reaction was, ‘Congratulations. Main bhi banunga bahut jaldi haa, main bhi banunga (I also plan to become a father soon). I will also do it,” quoted the filmmaker.
Further in the conversation, Ranbir talked about his special connection with Kenya’s Maasai Mara, about which Alia also talked about in her recent appearance on Koffee With Karan 7. He said that he can’t wait to take his child to the place where he proposed to his ladylove.
Elaborating on the same, the 39-year-old said, “It’s hard to stay in Maasai Mara as it’s in the middle of the jungle and there’s no internet and television. One has to wake up in the morning at 4:30 and there’s just tea or coffee that a person can have. There’s a lot of this while you’re driving (imitates a shaky journey), but while all this is happening, the breeze is beautiful, and you’re in nature. You’re seeing wild animals wake up, wild animals who’ve just made some killing, who are eating their food, who are going to sleep. Some animals are alert, thinking that there’s a predator who’s going to come. There is tension, there is beauty. It’s just everything. It’s what life is, you just experience it I can’t wait to take my child to Maasai Mara. I cannot wait.”
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the release of two mega projects of his career- Shamshera on 22nd July 2022, and Brahmastra on 9th September 2022.
