Sabyasachi Pulled The Mangalsutra Commercial Following The Controversy- Exclusive!
After trolling on social media, Sabyasachi has withdrawn his Mangalsutra advertisement. Sabyasachi had used a semi-nude model for the advertisement of Mangalsutra, after which Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra objected to Mukherjee’s advertisement. He had given a 24-hour ultimatum to Sabyasachi, after which Sabyasachi took down his controversial advertisement late on Sunday night.

Now Narottam Mishra has said in a statement that after my post, Sabyasachi Mukherjee has withdrawn his objectionable advertisement. If they do it again, direct action will be taken, no warning will be given to them. Our appeal to him and people like him is not to hurt the religious sentiments of the people.

Sabyasachi wrote on Instagram, “The Mangalsutra ad was aimed at a conversation on inclusivity and empowerment, in the backdrop of an ongoing discussion on heritage and culture. The purpose of this campaign was to celebrate and we are deeply saddened that a section of our society has suffered because of this. So we have decided to withdraw this ad campaign.

Earlier, Mumbai-based advocate Ashutosh Dubey had issued a legal notice to Sabyasachi for using a semi-nude model for a mangalsutra advertisement. Actually, in the photo shared by Sabyasachi for the advertisement of Mangalsutra, a plus-size female model was wearing lingerie with Mangalsutra. There was also a male model in this photo with the model, who was seen shirtless.
After seeing this advertisement, people said that Sabyasachi is advertising condoms. Many angry users claim that this advertisement is an attack on Hindu culture and hurts religious sentiments. One user wrote – Whose ad are you showing. Now no one will wear this jewellery, because you have shown the world that if I wear this jewellery, then I am some dirty woman. Please take care of your advertisement.
