The rumours are untrue, and Sania Mirza is not getting married to Mohammed Shami, as her father clarified to NDTV. The gossip about Sania Mirza’s potential marriage to Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami was finally put to rest by her father, Imran Mirza. The rumours are “rubbish,” Imran claimed in an NDTV interview, adding that her daughter hasn’t even met the cricketer. He stated: “This is all rubbish. She has not even met him.”
Rumours started after a photo-shopped image was posted on Facebook on June 12 of this year. Originally from Sania and Shoaib’s April 2010 wedding, the picture features the tennis legend dressed in red wedding gowns, with Shoaib’s face digitally overlaid with Shami’s.

The Great Indian Kapil Show, a well-known chat show, featured Sania recently. “Finding a love interest” was her statement on the show. Saina Nehwal, Sania Mirza, and Mary Kom joined Kapil Sharma in the teaser for the upcoming episode. The comedian brought up the fact that Shah Rukh Khan had previously declared he would be her love interest in any movie that was ever made about her. Then Sania said to Sharma, “Abhi mujhe pehle love interest dundna hai (I have to find a love interest first).”
She continued: “If Shah Rukh Khan plays my love interest, I will take up the role (act in my biopic). And if Akshay Kumar plays the role, I will do it.”
