After 11 years of marriage, Bollywood actress Esha Deol and her husband, Bharat Takhtani, have formally declared their split. In a joint statement published on Tuesday, the couple confirmed their intention to divorce.

Esha and Bharat stated that they both agreed to part ways amicably and highlighted their dedication to putting their kids’ welfare first.

The Statement

Esha and Bharat said in a statement, as cited by the Delhi Times that They have mutually decided to part ways.  They have two daughters, Radhya, who was born in 2017, and Miraya, who was born in 2019. Their welfare remains their primary concern amidst their separation.

The rumour of Esha and Bharat’s separation had been rife following Bharat’s absence from Hema Malini’s lavish 75th birthday celebration in October 2023. It is now confirmed. The couple had maintained a low profile in recent times. Esha had publicly acknowledged their 11th wedding anniversary last year. She expressed gratitude and affection for Bharat in an Instagram post.

The Rumors of Separation

The gossip mill went into overdrive when Esha attended Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare’s wedding reception in January without her husband Bharat by her side. Another speculation of separation arose due to the absence of Bharat from Hema Malini’s lavish 75th birthday celebration in October 2023.

The buzz about the separation got momentum when a Reddit user claimed that Bharat Takhtani is living with his alleged girlfriend in Bengaluru.

Along with these rumours, Esha Deol’s inactivity on social media regarding her spouse also fueled the separation rumours. The last post featuring Bharat was posted in October 2023.

On 29 June 2012, Esha Deol married Bharat Takhtani. It was a low-key wedding ceremony at the ISKCON temple in Mumbai.

In April 2017, it was announced that the couple was expecting their first child. She gave birth to her daughter in October 2017 at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai and named her Radhya. On 10 June 2019, she gave birth to her second daughter, Miraya.
