Shakti Kapoor Recalls Being Slapped While Shooting For Mawaali; Check Out Here!

Shakti Kapoor remembered the time when he thought his career was ruined after he was slapped three times on the screen. The contribution of the actors Asrani, Paintal, Tikub Talsania along with Shakti Kapoor have been prominent and major in the film industry. Host-comedian Kapil Sharma invited the stars to celebrate the legendary comedians of Indian Cinema in one of his recent episodes.

During the episode Shakti Kapoor explicated on a time when he was slapped by Kader Khan and Aruna Irani. Thus he desired to quit the Bollywood industry after he was disdained at the set of the film, Mawaali.

The 70- year old actor divulged that he was hit on the sets of the film which was released in the year 1983. It realized him to reassess his career in Bollywood. The actor recollected the moments from his first movie, Satte Pe Satta with Paintal. Shakti Kapoor was shocked when Raj Sippy approached him for a comedy role instead of the villainous roles in which he excelled at.

The actor eventually performed well in Mawaali film. He further recalled giving his first shot in the flim where Kadar Khan slapped him and he fell on the ground. In the second shot Aruna Irani slapped him and the same thing happened for third time as well.

As a result, Shakti Kapoor felt anxious about his career and requested Kader Khan to book his return ticket as he no longer desired to be a part of the film. He stated and thought that his career is dilapidated. Moreover, he mentioned that it was the action director, Veeru Devgan who advised him not to leave this field as no role is small or big.

Every character in the film who manages to entertain and engage his audience is a real Bollywood star. He concluded by expressing that if any person is successful in performing comedy then he is certainly a hero.
