Shreyas Talpade Apologises For 11 Year-Old Mistake; What Was The Matter?

Shreyas Talpade is one of those actors who is popular with the audience for his excellent comic timing and one-liners. Shreyas Talpade, who has made a place in the hearts of people with his acting, is in discussions these days about his upcoming film ‘Emergency’, but for the last few days, he is being trolled a lot on social media.

The reason behind Shreyas Talpade being trolled is a clip from his 2012 film Kamal Dhamaal Malamaal, which went viral on the internet. After this video went viral, the actor had to face the wrath of people on social media. Reacting to this, Shreyas has recently apologized… but the question arises that what was there in that video…? So let’s know.

The viral video shows the character played by Shreyas Talpade insulting Om, a symbol of divinity in Hinduism. Seeing this happening, the sentiments of the netizens have been hurt and this is the reason why people are trolling Shreyas Talpade badly. While the video is becoming increasingly viral on social media, soon after the video hit the internet, the actor has issued a public apology .

The 30-second video of the film, directed by Priyadarshan, features the actor as a Christian man named Johnny, who is shown stopping a lorry by putting his foot on it. A Twitter handle posted the video stating that Talpade’s character had insulted the Hindu symbol ‘Om’ by placing his foot on it. In such a situation, now the actor has tweeted and claimed that it happened completely unintentionally.

Shreyas Talpade wrote in his apology, “There are a lot of things going on in one’s mind when one is shooting. Especially when we have an action scene, the director’s requirements, time constraints and many more are involved.” All I can say about the video is that it was done completely unintentionally and I am very sorry for that. I should have seen it and brought it to the notice of the director.

Talking about the director of Kamal Dhamaal Malamaal, he is Priyadarshan. The film also starred Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, Asrani, Shakti Kapoor and Nyra Banerjee. It was the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film ‘Marukundoru Kunjadu’.
