Actress Sonam Kapoor and businessman husband Anand Ahuja recently revealed their son’s name in an Instagram post. To celebrate the baby’s first month, the couple named the baby Vayu Kapoor Ahuja. They share Vayu’s first photo and explain the meaning of his name.

Sonam kapoor and Anand Ahuja wrote: In the spirit of strength that gives new meaning to our lives. In spirit, Hanuman and Bheem personified courage and incomprehensible strength. In the spirit of all that is holy that gives life and our eternal property, we ask for the blessings of our son Vayu Kapoor Ahuja.”

The couple explained the thought behind the baby’s name. “In the Hindu scriptures, Vayu is one of the paanch tattvas. He is the god of breath, the spiritual father of Hanuman, Bhima and Madhava, as well as a very powerful lord of the wind. Praan is Vayu, the force that guides the life and intellect of the universe. All the gods Praan, Indra, Shiva and Kali are associated with Vayu. He can create life as easily as he can destroy evil. Vayu is considered a hero, he is brave and very mesmerising.Thamk you all for your Wishes and blessings …Thank you for your continued support of Vayu and his family.”

This is the first full family photo of Sonam, Anand and Vayu. All were dressed in traditional saffron outfits. Sonam and Anand got married in 2018 and their son was born on August 20,2022. Earlier, to mark the month spent by the actor with his family, he released a video of a birthday cake for a child.
