Sonu Sood's Tweet

“We should respect our players. Players who made us proud, players who made our country proud. One day you cheer for them, next day you boo them. It’s not they, it’s us who fail. I love cricket. I love every cricketer who represents my country. Doesn’t matter which franchise he plays for. Doesn’t matter whether he plays as a Captain or he’s the 15th man in a team. They are our Heroes 🇮🇳”

Asking Sonu Sood not to defend Pandya, an X user comments:

“The same rationale holds for @hardikpandya7. Beg to disagree. @hardikpandya7 got what he deserved! Respect has to be earned and not begged! Stop protecting those who have abused the captain (Rohit Sharma) and or deliberately missed world cups by faking injuries.”

A few comments also praised the actor for taking a stand for the cricketer:

“@SonuSood bilkul bhai yeh bat toh main bhi manta hon, or baqiyoon se bhi kehta hoon main…”

“Sir apne Lakho logo ko Inspire kiya h hme ap pe bahut proud feel hota hai..❤❤🙏🙏🙏”

Fans Booed Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma

On Wednesday, Sunrisers Hyderabad made 277 runs, the highest in the IPL history, against Mumbai Indians. As a result, fans in the stadium started booing Pandya. Fans are upset with Pandya’s captaincy and feel that leadership is not his cup of tea.

Few cricket lovers are also angry with him for snatching Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. Hardik Pandya had lost two consecutive matches for Mumbai Indians. Pandya also faced criticism for placing Rohit Sharma near the boundary rope for fielding.
