‘SRK Is 4 Years Older Than You’, Fans Remind Assam CM After His ‘I Watch Stars Of My Time’ Remark!

The highly-anticipated film Pathaan is making a lot of waves these days. The movie which marks the comeback of megastar Shah Rukh Khan after a hiatus of 4 years is getting embroiled in controversies one after the other. Social media is abuzz with various wars. Recently, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma started off another battle online. He said that he does not feel the need to know Shah Rukh Khan as he watches stars of his time only.

Now, Shah Rukh Khan’s fans have come up with some interesting reminders for the politician. A user on Twitter wrote, “I know film stars of my time?? Bro you are 4 years younger to Shah Rukh Khan.” Another stated, “This dude is about 4 years younger than SRK and he says about ‘film stars of my time’.” A third user penned, “Baazigar was a superhit during our college days #CottonCollege. Was one of the blockbuster releases of the era when we all were at our fiery youth in our college days @himantabiswa sir”. “Right now Hemanta is 53 & Shahrukh is 57….. Can Hemanta ji clarify who are the stars in his time???”, added a user.

Talking about how it all started, the Assam CM had earlier stated that he doesn’t know who Shah Rukh Khan is after several protests against his film Pathaan started off in the state. He then said that if SRK calls him personally, he would think of taking actions.

Himanta Biswa Sharma mentioned that Shah Rukh did call him personally and expressed his concern over protests against the release of his film. He said that he had assured the actor about maintaining law and order.

Later, Himanta Biswa Sharma quoted that he knows stars of his time only. He asserted, “Why should I know him? I do not watch many films. I know about older actors. I have seen films of Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra and Jeetendra. But still don’t know much about Shah Rukh Khan.  I have hardly seen six to seven films since 2001.”

For the unversed, Pathaan will release on January 25. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, and Ashutosh Rana.
