Sunny Deol Officially Announced “Border 2” After 27 Years of Film Release, Will Be India’s Biggest War Film!!

After ‘Gadar 2’, Sunny Deol’s star is on the rise. After this film, the actor is working on many big projects. Meanwhile, the sequel of his cult classic film Border has been announced today with a bang, which has doubled the happiness of his fans. He shared the video of the film’s announcement on social media. ‘Border 2’ is the sequel to JP Dutta’s 1997 film ‘Border’. It was released in theaters on 13 June 1997.

Sunny Deol’s powerful voice is heard in the video, in which he says, “27 years ago a soldier had promised that he would come back. To fulfill that promise, to say his salute to the soil of Hindustan, he is coming.” In the announcement video, ‘Border 2’ has been described as “India’s biggest war film”. Roop Kumar Rathod and Sonu Nigam’s song ‘Sandese Aate Hain’ plays in the background of the video. Border 2 will be directed by Anurag Singh.


Earlier, he has directed films like Dil Bole Hadippa, Jatt & Juliet, Punjab 1984, and Kesari. The makers are yet to announce the rest of the cast of the film. Border 2 is a sequel to JP Dutta’s 1997 hit war drama Border. Set during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War, the film featured several actors like Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Puneet Issar.


Deol played the role of Major Kuldeep Singh, a tough Sardar who led his battalion. Earlier on Thursday, Jackie Shroff celebrated the 27th anniversary of Border and shared a video clip from the film. He played Wing Commander Andy Bajwa in the film.
