Taylor Swift Braces Up To Direct Feature Film After Working On Short Film ‘All Too Well’!

At the Toronto Film Festival, the celebrity singer-songwriter demonstrated her directing abilities by screening her short film ‘All Too Well’. Taylor Swift believes it is time for her to direct a big film.

Taylor Swift graced the red carpet with Sadie Sink at the Toronto International Film Festival 2022, looking as radiant as daylight.

Swift screened her short film All Too Well: The Short Film for the first time on 35mm as part of the discussion. All Too Well: The Short Film, based on Swift’s song “All Too Well,” was written and filmed by Swift and depicts a young man and woman falling in love and the sadness that followed their split.

“If it were the proper thing to do, it would be such a privilege and honour,” The singer-songwriter made the statement during the Toronto Film Festival.

Swift, on the other hand, is unlikely to direct action sequences. “I will always want to portray human stories about human feeling,” she insisted, before naming Nora Ephron, Chloe Zhao, and Greta Gerwig as influences on her fledgling career.

I think it’s fantastic that we have finally reached a point where the idea of a female director no longer causes people to roll their eyes or hesitate as much as it once did,” Swift said.

During the discussion, the singer-songwriter discussed her journey as a film director, beginning with songwriting and then putting words and music to film with storyboards and a shot plan.

Swift noted that her journey into filmmaking did not happen suddenly and that she advocated for incremental steps. In spite of not attending film school, she said she’s been involved in approximately 60 videos and has learned a lot from them. “But when I did it on my own, I really began to understand everything,” Swift said of directing her first music video for “The Man,” a song off her 2019 album Lover. she directed the music videos for her hit songs “Cardigan” and “Willow”.

“It was always a part of the process, establishing visuals,” Swift said of her early singing career, in which she created and shot music videos. “I became happier the more responsibility I took on and the more I learned.”
