The criminal proceedings against Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan during the marketing of his film Raees in 2017 were allegedly quashed by the Gujarat High Court on April 27. To be clear, the case included the death of a guy at the Vadodara Railway Station while SRK was promoting his film. Several complaints were made in Vadodara’s lower court by the dead person’s family against Raees’ star actor. A case was afterward filed in Gujarat High Court to have the allegations against SRK dismissed. The actor committed no wrongdoing, according to the plea, and the dead was heart sufferer who died for other reasons.
The court further stated that none of the thousands of people who were present at the Railway Station on the day of the occurrence, including police officers and railway officials, had filed a complaint about the incident.
During the hearing, Justice Nikhil Kariel quashed Khan’s charges and summons, according to Zee News. For the uninitiated, Shah Rukh Khan rode a train to promote his film Raees on January 23, 2017. A large throng gathered to catch a sight of the celebrity, causing mayhem. To calm the mob, police had to resort to lathi-charge, and one person is said to have died as a result of the event.
In terms of the film Raees, Shah Rukh Khan, Mahira Khan, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui play the major parts. On January 25, 2022, Raees had been alive for five years. Rahul Dholakia directed the action crime drama, which was produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Excel Entertainment.
On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in Pathaan. Deepika Padukone and John Abraham also appear in the film, which is planned to be released on January 25, 2023. Dunki, a film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu, is also in the works.
