Tips and Tricks To Keep Dandruff At Bay In Winters!

Winter is not a season it is a feeling but along with the benefits it offers it comes with its own share of hair-related woes like dry hair, dandruff and hair fall. Due to the dry weather outside our scalps are robbed off the excess moisture. Our shiny and long locks may lose their strength as the temperature dips in winter.

Here are some of the tips and tricks to follow:

 1. Brush Your Hair Sufficiently

Stimulating your scalp by massaging it with your fingertips increases blood circulation and increases the secretion of oils which keeps your hair healthy and dandruff at bay.

2. Drink More Water

During winters we tend to drink less water which results in dehydration of hair loss and causes more dandruff. Therefore staying hydrated fights hair loss and  keeps your hair nourished.

3. Avoid Direct Heat

Avoid basking in the sun for too long as it causes dry hair. Heat appliances like hair dryers and iron curlers make your scalp dry. Instead towel dry your hair and let your hair dry naturally.

 4. Change Your Towel

The ideal towel to use in winters is the pure cotton one as they absorb moisture quickly and due to its natural material it is good for those who have sensitive skin.

5. Change Your Diet

Altering your diet in winter aids in getting rid of the dandruff so incorporate Vitamin B, zinc and omega 3 as they are excellent sources of nutrition for hair. Foods like fish, eggs, bananas and spinach are good sources of these nutrients.

6. Do Not Color Your Hair

Coloring your hair gives rise to hair woes as our scalp is more prone to dryness. So avoid using styling products and strong shampoos during winters.

Say bye bye to these hair woes by altering some changes in your lifestyle and incorporate fruits and vegetables that are an excellent source of protein, iron, etc which aids in keeping your hair follicles healthy.
