However, Kiran clarifies that this timeline is completely inaccurate. In her interview, she reveals, “Lots of people think that Aamir and I connected on Lagaan, we didn’t.”

“Many believe Aamir and I first connected during the making of Lagaan, but that’s not true at all. Our relationship began during the filming of Swades, while he was preparing for Mangal Pandey. It was after collaborating on a few Coke commercials with Ashutosh Gowariker that Aamir and I rekindled our connection, around 3 to 4 years post-Lagaan.

During Lagaan, I hardly interacted with him and was involved with someone else. When Aamir and I officially started dating in 2004, there was speculation that our relationship began during Lagaan and led to his divorce, but that’s simply not the case.”
