OTT platform is turning into a new home for many actors. We are witnessing more and more actors from the film industry getting featured in movies and web series streaming on OTT platforms. Sidharth Malhotra is already doing a web series. Earlier, reports of talented actor Ranbir Kapoor signing a web show surfaced. And the recent to join the bandwagon is none other than Varun Dhawan. Yes, it’s Varun Dhawan whom we could see in the upcoming Amazon’s Indian spin-off of their global espionage series Citadel. However, Varun hasn’t confirmed anything yet regarding this but according to sources actor will soon sign the dotted line.

While Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Richard Madden, and Tucci led the cast of the global version of the series, Varun Dhawan is being considered for the Indian spin-off of Citadel which will be directed by The Family Man fame Raj and DK.

Raj and DK are currently working on a series for Amazon Prime, featuring Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi. The two will begin the shooting of the Indian version of Citadel after finishing their current show with Shahid and Sethupati.

The International version of Citadel featuring Priyanka Chopra Jonas will have seven episodes and will begin streaming from March 17, 2022. The shooting of the series has been done in the United Kingdom. Fans’ curiosity to watch Priyanka’s character is leveling up day by day. Priyanka might be seen playing the role of a spy in the series. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.

Fans who were hoping to see Priyanka and Varun together in Citadel will get disappointed with this piece of news as the two Bollywood stars have no scenes together. Varun will only be part of the Indian spin-off series if he signs the contract and agrees to do it. As per the sources, Varun is keen to be part of Citadel. The only point of contention is the price that Varun is asking for. Well, we would definitely look out for this one as all of us are pretty familiar with Varun’s acting skills and we are sure he will be nailing it.

On the professional front, Varun Dhawan will be next seen in Jug Jug Jeeyo along with Kiara Advani and in Bhediya along with Kriti Sanon. He was last seen in Coolie No.1.
