Vijay Varma is set to wow you yet again with his acting prowess in the upcoming film “Murder Mubarak.” With ‘Darlings” and “Gully Boy,” he had proved his mettle as a performer. In his latest movie “Jaane Jaan” on Netflix, you see him alongside Kareena Kapoor.
His co-star in this project is the other Kapoor sister, versatile actor Karisma. Speaking about the Kapoor duo, Vijay reveals his “fatal attraction” for one and “close friendship” with the other. Read on.
Deep Admiration and Respect
In 2023, Vijay Varma joined hands with Jaideep Ahlawat and Kareena Kapoor for the Netflix original “Jaane Jaan.” This thriller offered a bumpy and edge-of-the-seat suspense with a memorable acting showcase. In fact, in some parts, Vijay even seemed to outshine Jaideep. Now, he is paired with Kareena’s elder sister Karisma Kapoor.
In a recent interview, Vijay opened up about his experience with both the talented actresses. He confessed about his “one-sided love” for Kareena Kapoor, while Karisma is more like a close friend. But his love for Kareena will only allow him to watch and admire her from afar.
In his words, “Vo ek fatal attraction, one-sided love door se dekh ke nihare jaate hain, nihaare jaana vala pyaar.” Besides, he says that everybody knows that he loves Kareena. “Kareena ke saath jo affection tha vo Jaane Jaan mein dekh liya hai logon ne.” Meaning, “People saw my affection for Kareena in Jaane Jaan.”
On the other hand, Karisma Kapoor and Vijay share a cordial and friendly relationship. While shooting for Homi Adajania’s “Murder Mubarak,” they became close. “With Karisma, I got to hang out very closely, and we became very good friends. So, there is a very good friendship and a beautiful bond of love, and I’ve been her very big fan.”
Kareena Has a Huge Appreciation for Vijay Varma
Vijay’s candid confession doesn’t come as a surprise to Kareena or anyone else. The co-stars have always had nice things to say about each other. Even Kareena’s husband Saif Ali Khan showered praise on Vijay. Kareena Kapoor revealed that Saif warned about working with him. “Before shooting, Saif was like, ‘You need to be a little more prepared as they are going to be very well-prepared.”
Sara Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Tripathi, and Sanjay Kapoor are the other crucial cast members of the film. “Murder Mubarak” is based on Anuja Chauhan’s book “Club You To Death.” Vijay Varma is dating Tamanna Bhatia, his “Lust Stories 2” co-star. They shot for a short film in the Netflix anthology – “Sex With The Ex” episode directed by Sujoy Ghosh.
