Russia is known to be one of the most beautiful tourist attractions in the World. It welcomes and entertains lakhs of tourists every year.

But wait. After watching the viral video that surfaced on social media a few days back, you might just skip visiting this particular place in Russia. Yes, something unusual and unpredictable happened in Russia. The incident which was a result of a shocking turn of events involved two women taking a swing ride. The swing is not a normal one but is placed right on the edge of a cliff. This makes the swing an adventurous and fun ride for the visitors. When the two women were enjoying their ride on it, the chain of swing snapped off and this led to the fall of two women from it.

The swing is located in Sulak Canyon in the Russian Republic of Dagestan. In the video, which went viral after few hours of its upload showcases how the entire incident happened. The swing which is perched on the edge of a cliff looks quite daring to sit on. After the two women took their seats, a man from behind can be seen pushing the swing. One of these pushes turns into a nightmare after the chain of swing gets snapped off. The duo fell off the swing perched on the edge of a 6300 feet cliff. Both of them landed on women landed on a narrow decking platform under the edge of the cliff and miraculously survived with minor scratches. Police have launched an investigation.

A source in the law enforcement quoted by Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper said, “The women got scared and sustained scratches, but neither of them suffered serious injuries. It is chilling to imagine what could have happened if they slipped when the swings were at a maximum height.”

According to reports, law enforcement agencies are ‘already conducting relevant checks to ensure that nothing threatens lives and health’.

The Ministry of Tourism in Dagestan said the swing ‘did not meet safety standards because of which the women fell’.
