Bollywood star, Ranbir Kapoor grabbed headlines for all the wrong and unjustified reasons. Alia Bhatt shared that Ranbir asks her to wipe off her lipstick every time they plan to go out. While social media users labelled the doting husband ‘toxic’ for his ruling attitude, others perceived that it is the actor’s ‘typical Indian husband’ nature who loves roasting his wife.

Typical husbands in any Indian household are known for making fun of their wives after their marriage. Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor too landed in trouble after poking fun at his then-pregnant wife, Alia Bhatt’s weight gain.

It was during an interaction with Ayan Mukherji who asked Alia and Ranbir why are they not promoting the film everywhere. Responding to this, Alia stated: “We will promote the film, and we will be everywhere, but if the question you are asking is why we are not phailod everywhere, right now our focus is…” Soon after, Ranbir interrupted and poked fun at Alia’s baby bump which was so huge to visit for film promotions.

Often in many Indian households, some husbands don’t like their wives in heavy make-up and bold lip colors. Ranbir Kapoor is one among them who asks Alia to clear off his lipstick whenever they go out together. In the words of the actress:

“I thought, that was just something that I worked out for myself, and then, I rub it off. Because one thing my husband, when he wasn’t my husband when he was my boyfriend as well, says when we used to go out at night, he used to say ‘Wipe that [lipstick] off. Wipe that off’. Because he loves the natural colour of my lip.”

Ranbir pointed out Alia’s loud personality

Although Ranbir Kapoor adores his wife for her charming personality. However, like every Indian husband, he looks for pointing out the negative sides of Alia Bhatt and her enthusiastic nature. In one of the interviews with GoodTimes, Ranbir Kapoor talked about Alia’s loud personality. The doting father shared his wish to see Raha inheriting his mother’s looks but he doesn’t want her to adopt Alia’s personality when she grows up. He was heard saying:

“The one thing that immediately puts me in a fit of anger is incompetence. And I have to try very hard to control my anger because my husband does not like (it) when my voice goes above this decibel. Because he thinks it’s not fair and it’s important to be kind even when you are unhappy.”
