For this film, Vineet had burnt dead bodies at Manikarnika Ghat for a week. He used to work at the ghat every day for 10 hours so that he could do well in the film.
The film Masaan has been shot at different crematoriums in Banaras. During this, the actors of the film used to act among the burning corpses. Even the scenes from burning the pyre to turning the dead body were actually filmed. This kind of work is very difficult for any actor but the actors played their part with full dedication to bring life to the film.
