Manjot Singh, expressing his admiration for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s work, disclosed that he had watched Kabir Singh three times. The blockbuster “Animal,” featuring Ranbir Kapoor, witnessed Manjot in consideration for the role of a character named Manjot Singh, Ranvijay’s cousin. In a conversation with India Today, he mentioned lacking a clear understanding of the character at the time. Despite the initial consideration, the role was eventually assumed by Avdeep Sindhu.

In a detailed conversation with India Today, Manjot Singh revealed that he had a meeting with Sandeep Reddy Vanga regarding a potential role in the film “Animal.” During this meeting, Vanga briefed him about the character, explaining that it was one of Ranbir Kapoor’s cousins, encountered when the character visits his village in Punjab. Interestingly, the character’s name in the film was also Manjot, creating a unique connection. However, Manjot admitted that, at that point, he didn’t have a thorough understanding of the character, and the decision not to take up the role ultimately led to Avdeep Sindhu assuming the part in the blockbuster film.

What Sandeep Reddy Vanga said about the character

The actor went on to reveal that Sandeep acknowledged the role might not be memorable for the audience. “The character was exceptionally well-written when he briefed me, and it had a compelling character arc.

In my discussion with Sandeep sir, I expressed my filmography and admiration for his work, having watched Kabir Singh thrice. I sought his advice on whether I should take up ‘Animal.’ I was willing to do the movie out of respect for Sandeep sir. However, he conveyed that the role wasn’t exceptionally amazing for people to remember, saying, ‘So it’s okay, we shall collaborate again in the future,'” he shared.
