‘Why Not Me?’: Vicky Kaushal Reveals Shocking Reason Why He Got A Role In ‘Dunki’

Actor Vicky Kaushal had a cameo in the film Dunki. Audiences loved his performance in the role of Sukhi in the movie. Recently, the actor revealed how he got the role in this film.

Uri Actor Vicky Kaushal had previously worked with Rajkumar Hirani in ‘Sanju’ before ‘Dunki.’ He wants to work with him again. Vicky said, “I told Raju sir that even if I’m not in someone’s mind there, I’ll still happily do it. My father, Sham Kaushal, was working on ‘Dunki.’

Vicky said, “Hirani sir said that they need someone like Vicky for this character. But they didn’t offer me this role because they thought it was a small role.

The actor said, “Then when my father came home, I asked him how the meeting went. He mentioned this, and I asked happily? The next day, I called Raju sir and said if someone like me is needed in this, then why not me?”

Vicky said that after this, he went to director Rajkumar Hirani’s office. He said, “I reached his office the same day and said yes without hearing the script. I watched the entire film during the screening. I only knew my part.”

The emotional story of ‘Dunki,’ released on December 21 last year, was loved by the audience. ‘Dunki’ was Shah Rukh Khan’s third film in 2023. Before this came ‘Pathan’ and ‘Jawan,’ both of which were blockbuster hits at the box office.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film ‘Dunki’ featured stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani. The film earned more than 300 crore rupees at the Indian box office. As for Vicky’s upcoming work, he will soon be seen in ‘Chhava.’
