Why Travis Kelce Won’t Join Taylor Swift at the Grammy Awards 2024

Travis Kelce won’t accompany Taylor Swift to the 2024 Grammy Awards this Sunday in Los Angeles, as reported by TMZ. The NFL star, aged 34, has prior commitments in Las Vegas with the Kansas City Chiefs, preparing for the upcoming Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers the following Sunday. The Chiefs’ tight schedule necessitates Kelce’s focus, ruling out any distractions or travel. Whether Swift, also 34, will attend the Grammys alone or with someone else remains unknown. Despite Kelce’s absence, Swift is anticipated to have a remarkable night with six Grammy nominations. As the couple navigates their busy careers, Swift will be cheering for Kelce when the Chiefs face the 49ers at Allegiant Stadium on Feb. 11.

Taylor is on tour now

Page Six disclosed that Swift, amidst her Eras Tour, is touring globally and will return to the US in time to join Kelce. The ‘Anti-Hero’ singer has four shows scheduled in Tokyo starting from Feb. 7, culminating with the final concert at the Tokyo Dome on Feb. 10, a day before the Super Bowl at 3:30 p.m. local time. Despite the long 13-hour flight from Tokyo to Las Vegas, Swift benefits from time zone differences, arriving earlier than her departure due to Tokyo being 17 hours ahead. Swift plans to board her plane immediately after the show in Tokyo, ensuring she reaches Las Vegas promptly.

Swift attended the AFC Championship to support Kelce and his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, as they secured their place in the Super Bowl by defeating the Baltimore Ravens. Following the victory, the ‘Blank Space’ star rushed onto the field to embrace and kiss the emotional player.

The couple exchanged heartfelt “I love you” messages before Kelce rejoined his teammates in the locker room to celebrate the win.
