Emran Hashmi and Amitabh Bachchan starrer chehre will take OTT route for business in pandemic, talks producer Anand pandit. While watching the sneak peak of Chehre fans loved it as everyone got mad over Emran Hashmi and Amitabh Bachchan’s character. The movie was about to release in April but due to the second wave of covid the plans got shattered. Now the question arises that will it take an OTT platform.
Asking from producer Anand, he says, ”the Trailor got an amazing response from the audience as they loved the duo and their character. We are still thinking of releasing this movie on a big screen. The second wave has disheartened the audience because we couldn’t release the film. Also on the other side we need to keep cinema halls and distributors’ employment continuously growing. Hopefully we will be releasing in the second half of the year.”
His OTT movie the big bull got an amazing response. While the question arises is OTT profitable for producers or not? On answering it Anand said “ the current situation is not for looking for profit instead we are concerned to overcome the situation. Though the business needs to go on and many producers are releasing films on OTT platforms. I hope we overcome the situation and get back that free life.
On the next project Anand stated that his next film “ thank god” starring Ajay Devgan , Siddharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh is lined up. Though the shooting has ceased due to the pandemic. The story has an entertaining and social message.”
Now the question arises will Anand think of releasing Chehre on OTT platform or will he wait for the correct time to show it on the big screen. How much time fans have to wait to watch the duo.
