Bollywood’s power couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, are set to welcome their first child soon. The couple, who tied the knot in 2018 after a six-year courtship, managed to keep their relationship under wraps during the early days of their dating life. Their discretion even led to an interesting exchange involving Priyanka Chopra on a popular talk show.
During an episode of “Koffee with Karan,” hosted by Karan Johar, the topic of Deepika and Ranveer’s relationship was brought up. Karan pointed out that Deepika had never publicly discussed her relationship with Ranveer during their dating years. Deepika, maintaining her preference for privacy, simply smiled and did not engage in the conversation. However, Priyanka Chopra, who was also present on the show, stepped in to defend her friend’s choice to keep her personal life private.
“Some people like to keep their relationship private. Because some people don’t want to be the conversation at the dinner table,” Priyanka remarked. She further added, “If 90 percent of the celebs’ life is for the public, then 10 percent of it should be their own.” Priyanka’s response highlighted the importance of maintaining personal boundaries despite public scrutiny.
Priyanka, Deepika, and Ranveer share a professional rapport, having worked together in several films. Priyanka made a cameo appearance in the song “Ram Chahe Leela” from Ranveer and Deepika’s 2013 film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. The trio later starred together in the 2015 blockbuster Bajirao Mastani, and Priyanka and Ranveer also co-starred in Dil Dhadakne Do the same year.
As Deepika enters the final trimester of her pregnancy, fans have eagerly followed updates on the couple. Deepika announced her pregnancy in February this year via Instagram, a post that garnered immense love and best wishes from fans and fellow celebrities alike.
In addition to the impending arrival of their child, Deepika and Ranveer are also preparing to move into a new home. The couple has reportedly purchased a lavish property worth Rs 100 crore, located near Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic residence, Mannat.
