In a recent interview, Taapsee Pannu highlighted the challenging aspects of being a public figure in the era of rampant trolling and paparazzi. Reflecting on online criticism, Taapsee admitted, ‘I think I have chosen such a life that unfortunately I realized very late that no matter what you do or not, you will be trolled.’

Taapsee Pannu further added in her statement, ‘So, I think this trolling has come into the lives of all of us recently. Also, I feel that I am getting trolled only when I am somewhat relevant. People are wasting time on you in negativity. I think, okay, I am worth their time in some way.’ Taapsee believes that despite the harshness of trolls, they do not have the power to end careers as they used to in earlier times. The actress said, ‘No, they cannot end careers or else I would not be here’. Taapsee also broke her silence on her occasional spats with the paparazzi.

Taapsee Pannu said, ‘I have a very clear logic of the fact that I am a public person, not public property. There is a huge difference between the two.’ She strongly claimed her right to personal space and highlighted that unwarranted invasion by photographers crosses the line. Taapsee said, ‘If you shout at me, I will not tolerate it. If you jump on me and pounce on me and get too close to me physically, it is not acceptable.’
