Konkona Wins Best Actress At Asian Academy Creative Awards- Checkout!
Konkona Sen Sharma is a well-known actress who has appeared in both Hindi and Bengali films. Several prizes have been bestowed to the actress, including two National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards. She has appeared in arthouse indie films, and her success in this genre has earned her a place in modern parallel cinema. Some of her mainstream Bollywood flicks have also earned her international recognition.
At the Asian Academy Creative Awards, Konkona Sensharma won Best Actress in a Leading Role for the anthology film ‘Ajeeb Daastaans: Geeli Pucchi.’ Meanwhile, Amruta Subhash received the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance as Lily in ‘Bombay Begums’. Amruta posted a video from the award event to Twitter, captioning it “My First International Award.”
The actor also celebrated her 42nd birthday on the same day. Konkona’s mother, Aparna Sen congratulated her on social media.

Season two of Amazon’s original “Mirzapur” won best original program by a streamer/OTT. Puneet Krishna, the show’s creator, dedicated the prize to actor Bramhaswaroop Mishra, who was discovered dead in his flat in suburban Versova on Thursday afternoon. In the show, he played the character Lalit.
Amruta Subhash won the best actor in a supporting role for her work as Lily, a bar dancer in “Bombay Begums.” “Pagglait,” directed by Umesh Bisht, also won two awards: best original screenplay and best sound.
Lee Je-hoon was named best actor in a leading role for his work in the Korean drama series “Move to Heaven,” which also won best drama series. His compatriot Lee Do-Hyun received the award for best actor in a supporting role for “Sweet Home,” which also won the award for best direction for Lee Eung-bok.
The awards gala, held on Thursday and Friday in Singapore, recognized individuals in the creative professionals working across numerous platforms from several Asia-Pacific countries. A total of 38 awards were given to Asian-produced TV and online programming.
Konkona Sensharma was most recently seen in Netflix’s anthology Ajeeb Daastaan. She also featured in Seema Pahwa’s directorial debut, Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi, which was the first film to get a theatrical release after the pandemic.
