Payal Malik said in an exclusive conversation with ‘India Today’, ‘Our fans will know that we have never supported the idea of having more than one marriage. Be it our vlogs or interviews. We have never promoted it. Whatever mistake Armaan made, I don’t think any man in India should do this. We managed to maintain this relationship, but I don’t think anyone else can do this. I think there can be nothing more painful for a woman than her husband bringing another woman to his house. I don’t think anyone else can bear this.’

When asked how she went through this phase, she replied, ‘Yes, I was definitely the most affected, but it was not easy for any of us. I can’t live without Armaan ji and neither can Kritika. On the other hand, he couldn’t leave any of us. When he got married again, I was very sad and separated from him. I stayed away with my son for more than a year and faced a lot of difficulties. Then I came back and we decided to sort out our issues. Today, thankfully, we are living peacefully as a family and I don’t think anything can ever separate us.’

When Payal was asked about Kritika’s towel use comment and whether she was affected by it, Payal said, ‘Kritika is a very happy-go-lucky person who keeps joking around like that. She just said it in fun. I was around when she said it, she didn’t say it behind my back. I know her tone and intention, so it’s not really a big deal.’
Payal Malik, in a recent interview, revealed how Armaan Malik never converted to Islam for his second marriage, as was reported. When told that the Hindu Marriage Act does not allow more than one legal partner, she said, ‘I am his legal wife. Kritika and Armaan ji’s marriage is not legal. However, as far as I know, if the first wife has no problem with her husband remarrying, then it is not an issue.’
