Nushrat Bharucha Revealed She Was Scolded By Hansal Mehta On The Sets Of Chhalaang
Nushrat Bharucha, who rose to fame with Pyaar Ka Punchnama, is all set to make her Digital debut with Hansal Mehta’s Chhalaang, co-starring Rajkummar Rao. While spilling the beans about her shooting experience with Hansal Mehta, the actress is quite exicted about the release of the film. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Nushrat Bharucha was asked to share a fun story while she shot Chhalaang, she recalled her first day of the shoot when she was left nervous, as she had the director upset at her.
Nushrat shared that on the first day of the shoot, she had to deliver a Haryanvi dialogue rapidly but she couldn’t do it. Recalling fumbling in the middle of the dialogue and not delivering it in front of her co-stars which included Rajkumma Rao, she said, “It was the first day of shoot and the first time I was speaking in Haryanvi. They gave me a long dialogue in Haryanvi and I had to say it fast. All senior actors were there in front of me — from Rajkummar, Saurabh Shukla, Satish Kaushik and others and I just kept fumbling and messing up.”
Followed by that the team decided to play a prank on her, which had the director playing the key role. Adding further she said, “They had actually thought of playing a prank on me. Hansal (Mehta) sir got angry and said on the mic ‘What are you doing! How can you take 5 takes for this! This is such a simple dialogue!’ I was worried that it was my first day and he was already thinking that I couldn’t do it. If it goes to my head that I am not doing well, then I am unable to do that shot even in 10 takes. It was take 15 and I had still not got it right.”
But later on, looking at utterly nervous Nushrratt they all cracked up, revealing about their plan of Hansal screaming on her, “Later on, they all started laughing as they had planned Hansal ji to scream at me so that I got nervous and spoilt the scene. Then we all chilled together and I did the scene properly,” she added.
Meanwhile, Chhalaang is releasing on 13, 2020 on Amazon Prime Video.
