‘Patla Sa Actor’: Deepak Dobriyal Says He Did Not Get Respect During His Struggling Days!
Bollywood actor Deepak Dobriyal is counted among the best artists of Hindi cinema. He carved his niche in the industry with his powerful performances. But reaching such great heights in his career was not easy. Currently, Deepak is winning accolades for his strong portrayal in Ajay Devgan’s film ‘Bholaa’. While promoting the film, he got into an exclusive interview where the actor recalled his days of struggle.
Deepak received recognition from ‘Omkara’
Talking about the difficult phase of his life, Deepak said that at the time of struggle in the film industry, no one used to respect him. He stated, “I used to be called a ‘patla sa actor’, but my performance in ‘Omkara’ silenced them all. After that, they began treating me with dignity. Now, the condition is much better.”
Deepak shared that after the crime drama film ‘Omkara’ in 2006, he didn’t have to go for auditions. The producers and directors used to call him. The actor quoted, “Before ‘Omkara’, I used to tell struggling actors that it is just a matter of time. You need to work on your craft and improve your art every day. However, no one took me seriously because I was also a struggler. After ‘Omkara’ I won Filmfare and then they took my words seriously.”
