Shehnaaz Gill Reveals How She Gets Treated In Bollywood; Says, ‘Chote Logo Ko Side Pe…’
Television actress, Shehnaaz Gill gained popularity with her powerpack performance in the controversial show, ‘Bigg Boss 13’. The actress rules millions of hearts with her down-to-earth nature and charming personality. For those who are unaware, Shehnaaz made her Bollywood debut in ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ opposite Salman Khan. The actress is currently basking in the success of her latest released film, ‘Thank You For Coming’. Bhumi Pednekar, Kusha Kapila, Shibani Bedi, Dolly Singh along Shehnaaz Gill were in the lead roles. However, despite the success of her film, Shehnaaz has recently opened up about how she felt in front of Bollywood celebrities. Revealing about the treatment she received on the sets, Shehnaaz even talked about her experience of working with accomplished stars.
Shehnaaz Gill on whether she was treated equally on the set of ‘Thank You For Coming’
During an interaction with Bollywood Hungama, actress Shehnaaz Gill revealed how she was treated on the set of ‘Thank You For Coming’. Opening up about the same, she mentioned that people treated her differently. Furthermore, she thought that there would be discrimination in the Bollywood industry. The actress stated:
“Yes, iss set me toh seriously mujhe aisi feeling ayi. Mujhe laga jaise…hoga idhar bhi ki… bade logo ko alag dikhaya jata ha aur chote logon ko side pe kiya jata hai. But, idhar aisa kuch nahi tha.”
In addition, Shehnaaz mentioned that the production house has a huge role to play. Elaborating further, Shehnaaz revealed that the producers never let her feel that she was in a side role while Bhumi was in the lead role. In her words:
“Production ka bhi bohot bara role hai. Inhone ek percent bhi aisa feeling nahi di ki ye ladki main lead hai, tum characters ho side ke. Bilkul na. Puri vanity me bhi acha tha… ussi time bulate they jab shot hota tha, yeh bohot important cheez hai. Har cheez me equally treat kia, mai kya hi bolu ab?”
Shehnaaz on the statement ‘people are not so good in Bollywood’
Actress, Shehnaaz Gill in the concluding part of the interview talked about people who are in the Bollywood industry. According to the actress, the statement about people not so good in Bollywood stands untrue. The actress mentioned that there are still good people in the industry, it depends on the individual. Shehnaaz mentioned:
“Har set me aisa nahi hota. Mujhe yeh cheez achi lag rahi hai ki mai experience kar rahi hu. Jaruri nahi hai ki, log bolte hai na ache log nahi hai bollywood me, aisa nahi hai. Bohot ache log hai. Woh depend karta hai log kaun hai.”
