‘How Dare You’: Adnan Sami Faces Backlash As He Calls Andhra CM ‘Frog In A Pond’ Over His Tweet On ‘Naatu Naatu’ Oscar Win

Singer Adnan Sami has faced backlash on Twitter from a section of netizens for calling Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy ‘frog in a pond’ over his congratulatory tweet on RRR that won Oscars for best original song for Naatu Naatu.

RRR song, Naatu Naatu that featured Ram Charan and Jr NTR won the Best Original Song Award at the 95th Academy Awards. Like everyone, Andhra CM also took to social media to express his joy over RRR’s big win at the Oscars. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy wrote in his tweet that he was filled with pride on a Telugu song being given its due recognition internationally and tweeted, and wrote that ‘Telugu flag is flying higher’.

He also congratulated SS Rajamouli, musical composer MM Keeravani, Ram Charan and Junior NTR, and others for the the win and thanked them for making “crores of Telugu people across the world and all Indians incredibly proud!”

The tweet didn’t go down well with singer Adnan Sami and he wrote that Reddy’s tweet is “creating regional divide” and alleged that the Andhra CM was “unable to embrace or preach national pride”.

He also called the CM “regional minded frog in a pond who can’t think about the ocean because it’s beyond his tiny nose”.
