Agni Prime Missile: DRDO’s New Achievement, Ability To Launch From Mobile.

The most advanced version of the Agni series missile named Agni Prime was successfully test-fired today i.e. Monday at 10:55 am. Developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), the missile was successfully test-fired off the coast of Odisha.

Agni Prime missile has been developed by DRDO. The Agni Prime missile is designed by combining state-of-the-art technology used in Agni-IV missiles with a range of 4,000 km and Agni-5 missiles with a range of 5,000 km. Agni Prime missile has a range of 1000 to 1500 km, but this missile is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.

You Can Also Fire From Mobile Launcher:
Agni Prime missile is two-stage and solid fuel-based. It will be guided by an inertial navigation system based on an advanced ring-laser gyroscope. Both stages have composite rocket motors. Its guidance system is equipped with electromechanical actuators. Defense Department sources said that, unlike the single-stage Agni-I, the double-stage Agni Prime can be fired from both road and mobile launchers with flexibility.

Sleek Design, More Firepower:
According to sources, due to the use of state-of-the-art technology in the Agni Prime, it has a sleeker missile power with less weight than the previous version. This will make its firepower more lethal than before. However, the source refused to divulge more details.

Agni-1 Was Tested In 1989:
India first test-fired the medium-range ballistic missile Agni-I in May 1989. At that time its range was 700 to 900 km. Was inducted into the army in the year 2004. If Agni Prime’s test is successful, it will replace Agni-I. India has so far developed five Agni series missiles.
