Akshay Kumar Suffers Slipped Disc Lifting 192kg Wrestler For ‘Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi’ Stunt

Akshay Kumar, known for performing his stunts in films, recently revealed that he suffered a slipped disc while shooting for ‘Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi.‘ The actor had to lift a 192 kg wrestler for a scene in the film.

In ‘Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi,’ Akshay Kumar’s character had to defeat the Undertaker, a famed pro wrestler. In one of the scenes, Kumar had to lift the wrestler, who weighed 192 kg. This strenuous act led to Kumar suffering a slipped disc. In a candid interview, he said:

“I lifted him; I was mad. My back and I remember the film vividly. It broke after lifting Undertaker. He was somewhere around 425 pounds or something, and I decided, ‘Okay utha loonga ‘(I will lift him).”

The Stunt That Led To Injury

 

Akshay performed the stunt and the scene was shot. But three days later, he felt something had gone wrong with his back. “Then I had a slipped disc,” the actor recalled, adding, “When I think of this film, I only think about the slipped disc, not about its legacy.”
