This disease was said to be the cause of his death but now his son Bappa Lahiri has revealed the real reason behind his father’s death. Bappi Lahiri’s son Bappa told the media that his father did not die of OSA. He did not even die of respiratory disease. Bappa said that he thinks his father died of cardiac arrest.

While filing his nomination, he mentioned his total assets and said that he has a total of 754 grams of gold. He had given this information in the nomination filled during the elections held in the year 2014.
