“Don’t Speak Hindi”, A.R Rahman Stops His Wife To Speak In Hindi At An Award Show!

Music composer A. R. Rahman asked his wife, Saira Banu, to use Tamil instead of Hindi for the event. Recently, the musician attended an awards ceremony in Chennai with Saira. The host invites Saira to the stage to perform. A video posted by a fan on Twitter was also honored.

A.R. Rahman spoke in Tamil and Saira stood next to him.The Singer said, “I don’t like to watch my interviews. She likes my voice so she kept playing and watching.” Saira Banu smiled as he said this. The host then asks to speak to Saira. Before addressing the audience, A.R. Rahman told him, “Don’t speak Hindi, speak Tamil.” Saira closed her eyes and said, “My God.” The audience laughed and applauded.

She continued, “Good Evening everyone. I’m sorry that I don’t speak Tamil well. I request for your understanding. I am very happy and excited because I love his voice. That’s all I can talk.” A.R. Rahman married Saira Banu in 1995. They have three children: khatija, Rahima and Ameen.

A.R. Rahman often talks about his family. he recently spoke out about her daughter Khatija’s song Sagawasi after the song got millions of views on YouTube. He Said, “As a father, I have always been proud of her, she is a unique daughter, she has her own character.Everything is very difficult on social networks, she fights alone in all these wars, but she is a kind person. A.R Rahman Work Front

At present, A.R. Rahman is looking forward to the release of Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2, the upcoming action film directed by Mani Ratnam. He wrote the music for the film. The film stars Vikram, Trisha Krishnan, Kartik Sivakumar, Jayam Ravi and Aishwarya Rai. Both will be released April 28th.
