Finally, on the last day of 2021, the long wait of the fans came to an end and they got to see the first glimpse of the liger-sala crossbreed. The first look teaser of Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey starrer Liger- Saala Crossbreed was released on Friday.

In the teaser, Vijay is seen as a street fighter from Mumbai, who travels to MMA fight. The teaser shows some powerful punches and kicks of Vijay, who is ready to put everyone’s wat on. Liger is directed by Puri Jagannadh. The film is produced by Karan Johar. Karan is launching Vijay in Bollywood through this film. By the way, along with Hindi, the film will also be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages. Liger will release in theaters on August 25 next year.

This is the Hindi debut of Vijay, known in Telugu for films like Arjun Reddy, Dear Comrade, NOTA and World Famous Lover. However, their relationship with the Hindi audience has already been cemented through Arjun Reddy, whose remake Kabir Singh replaced him with Shahid Kapoor. Kiara Advani was the female lead in this love story of an addict, a talented angry surgeon. Although the film directed by Sandeep Vanga Reddy was criticized for its subject matter, Kabir Singh was so successful at the box office that it pushed Shahid Kapoor into the 200 crore club.

Liger’s biggest highlight will be boxing legend Mike Tyson, who is a part of the film. This is Mike’s first Bollywood film. He will be seen in a special role in this film. Mike has shot the scenes with Vijay and Ananya Pandey. His presence in the film is also enough to raise curiosity for Liger.

This is the third Hindi film of Liger director Puri Jagannadh. He made his directorial debut in Hindi cinema with the 2004 film Condition – The Challenge, starring Tusshar Kapoor and Amrita Arora in lead roles. It was a remake of his own Telugu debut film Badri. In 2011, Puri directed Budha Hoga Tera Baap starring Amitabh Bachchan, Raveena Tandon and Sonu Sood. Prabhudheva debuted as a director in Hindi cinema with Wanted, the Hindi remake of his 2006 superhit film Pokiri, and supported the staggering career of Salman Khan.
