During that time, Gauri used to do all the household chores herself, because she did not need a maid for that small house.

Shah Rukh’s wish was fulfilled

Shabina wrote that Shah Rukh had bought his dream bungalow Mannat during Gauri’s birthday. On the same day, Aditya Chopra decided to show the first copy of DDLJ to Shah Rukh. In such a situation, Shah Rukh had given a feast to all of his loved ones. He called them to the dilapidated roof of the house. There was only one bulb. Apart from that, there was no light of any kind. Shah Rukh served biryani in a thermocol plates, while water was also given in disposable glasss. Shahrukh was too excited to show his new house.

Loan was repaid in four years

Shah Rukh had told Shabina that he had Rs 2 crore in savings when he was buying Mannat, while the cost of the bungalow was Rs 30 crore. However, Shah Rukh had borrowed the rest of the amount to give wings to his dream, which he had repaid in just four years by working very hard.
