During the shooting of the film, Jackie Shroff slapped Anil Kapoor, not one or two, but 17 times to shoot the scene in a spectacular manner. The interesting thing is that Anil Kapoor did not mind this at all, rather this idea was his own. Once it was mentioned by Jackie during a media interview.

Parinda Was Released In 1989

This story is from the time of the film ‘Parinda’. In a scene of this film, Anil and Jackie argue over something and after that Jackie slaps them. Jackie Shroff had told about the scene, ‘Anil wanted to show pain in that scene that his elder brother slapped him. The first shot was well done and the facial expressions also looked fine.’ But Anil Kapoor was not happy with this shot.

Jackie Shroff had said about this, “One more shot was demanded from the director by Anil Kapoor.  After this, Jackie Shroff kept slapping him until Anil Kapoor got the perfect shot and in this way he slapped the actor 17 times. I really like it.” I didn’t want to do it, even though I had to do it reluctantly.If I had slapped in the air, Anil Kapoor would not have been satisfied with it and would not have got that response.”
