Nepotism has become a never-ending topic of discussion among celebs after Kangana Ranaut ignited it a few years back on popular talk show ‘Koffee With Karan’. Since then, many known faces have given their two-cents over the same. Now, recently, Mahaakshay, son of famous Bollywood star Mithun Chakraborty, has shared his point of view on existence of nepotism in film industry.

Mahaakshay who is promoting his upcoming film ‘Jogira Sa Ra Ra’ said that he is the living proof of the fact that there is no nepotism in Bollywood. He told that if it existed, he would have appeared in every fifth film but his struggle is still on.

‘Father did not gave any support’

Mahaakshay stated that his father Mithun has always supported him in every decision. But when he decided to take up acting, his father had clearly told him that it will be his choice. He will not help him at all and he will never get a free ticket because of being Mithun’s son.

Mahaakshay shared his father’s words and quoted, “You have to work hard yourself to make a place in the industry. You will have to earn the love of the people yourself.”

‘The struggle is still on’

Talking about nepotism, Mahaakshay said there is nothing like that. He asserted that if something like this had existed, he would have been there in every fourth or fifth film, but it is not so. He said that he is still struggling like everyone else and he is proud to say.

Furthermore, Mahaakshay said that when he was not getting work, he was actually not getting selected in the auditions. “Getting rejected is very normal. I have given auditions for TV, film and web series. Because of these, I have got work and I still give auditions because I am an actor. There is nothing wrong in that,” stated Mahaaskhay.

For the unversed, Mahaakshay Chakraborty started his acting career with the 2008 film ‘Jimmy’. Post this, he has worked in many Bollywood films like ‘Ishqedariyan’, ‘Haunted 3D’, and ‘Rocky’. In his forthcoming film ‘Jogira Sa Ra Ra’, Mahaakshay will be seen playing the role of Inspector Jai Sharma.
