For the first time since receiving a cancer diagnosis, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has been photographed in public with her husband, Prince William. The royal couple were joined by their three kids for King Charles’ birthday parade, Trooping the Colour, on Saturday.
She made her official public debut today, the first since joining the Royal Family on the walk to Sandringham Church on Christmas Day.
Kate’s First appearance since being diagnosed with cancer
Kate Middleton has returned to the public eye following a seven-month battle with cancer. Princes of Wales announced on social media on Friday that she will be attending the Trooping the Colour ceremony and the king’s birthday parade, amidst intense global scrutiny over her absence from public life.
The Princess of Wales was seen in a car with her husband, Prince William, and their three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, early on Saturday morning before the parade started formally. “Out of woods”
Prince William and King Charles showed their support and happiness for Catherine’s decision on Friday, following her announcement that she will participate in the largest royal event.
Ahead of her appearance, she declared in a statement, “I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet.”
The statement, in which Kate Middleton admitted that she had gone through some “harder times,” was made public alongside a gorgeous new picture of her posing outside.
“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,” she stated.
Following a significant abdominal surgery, Kate disclosed in a video message in March that she had received prophylactic chemotherapy.
