Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon wears many hats. She is a National Award-winning actor. Raveena is a philanthropist. She associates herself with various causes. She has played a role in women’s empowerment over the years. The Women and Child ministry awarded her for the work she is doing for women and girl children.

After adopting two girls, she became a pioneer. Raveena became a single mother at age 21. The Ministry selected Raveena Tandon as a delegate at the prestigious W20, the Women’s Empowerment engagement wing at G20 India’s Presidency.

Raveena Tandon said that she is honored to be invited. She said that it is an honor to represent 675 million Indian women in India as part of this delegation. She added that women in our country contribute to diverse sectors to run the economy. Everyone should recognize the effort.

Let us tell you that Women 20 (W20) is an official G20 engagement group. It was established in 2015 during Turkey’s presidency. The aim is to mainstream gender considerations in G20 discussions and translate them into policies and commitments in G20 Leaders’ Declarations that promote gender equality and economic empowerment of women.

Raveena further said that having this summit is a fantastic opportunity to empower women and provide them with more rights for their full social and economic participation. The proposed priority areas are very much in line with her expectation.
