Saif Ali Khan Reacts To The Negativity Surrounding His Sons, Taimur and Jehangir’s Names

The classiest couple, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have been facing criticism for quite some time now. They are called names by the trolls for naming their sons, Taimur and Jehangir which were names of prominent historical and ruthless figures. According to trolls, Saif and Kareena are trying to bring back the Mughal era. Kareena has earlier reacted to all the negativity around her children’s names. Now, Saif, during a recent interview, has also given his views on the same.

Saif Ali Khan, in an interview with the media portal, was asked about the trolling that the couple has been going through because of their kids’ names. To this, Saif elaborated and said, “The world is not an equal place; people are not equally happy. We’re very privileged people, and I think we’re good people. We pay our taxes, we’re legal people, and we work hard to entertain and we do well, and we contribute a fair amount of positivity to this world. And to comment on people who are contributing negativity and dividing and being terrible is really not worth it. I try and stay off reading that and focusing on something else.”

Saif and Kareena tried their level best to keep their second child’s name undercover. Initially, they announced only the shorter version of Jehangir’s name i.e. Jeh. However, his full name came to everybody’s notice when Kareena in her book, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible addressed him as ‘Jehangir’. Earlier, the royal couple of Bollywood also decided to keep Jeh away from paps. But in recent weeks, they’ve become more relaxed about appearing in public with Jeh, and have been photographed by the paparazzi on numerous occasions.

Earlier today, Saif’s sister Sara Ali Khan had also bashed people for trolling Saif’s kids. She wrote in a social media post, “When a mother carries her child within her and gives him or her life… only she and the father…are allowed to decide… who how and what the child will grow as…And the name. No one…no one else, including other family members, who may gladly suggest, have a say on anything! It’s her soul that has nurtured that baby. Parents are the only ones with rights. Think it’s a reminder for everyone to respect that. Today. tomorrow. Forever!!!!”

On the work front, Saif is gearing up for the release of his next, Bhoot Police, a horror-comedy featuring Arjun Kapoor, Yami Gautam, and Jacqueline Fernandes.
