The first season of Shark Tank India, modelled after the US version, debuted in December last year. It attracted much attention as one of the unique idea series. To convince a panel of judges or investors to support their company concept, contestants must present their business plans on the program.

Ashneer Grover, Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh, Namita Thapar, Ghazal Alagh, and Peyush Bansal were the seven sharks or investors in the program. They all had a solid track record as entrepreneurs and invested in the projects they thought had promise. Rannvijay Singha served as the season one host of Shark Tank India.

The Season 2

A second season of the hit program, Shark Tank India, was announced in May 2022, and registration for ambitious business owners started after that. The commercial, which gave viewers a look at all the sharks, was only just announced.

Vinita Singh, Namita Thapar, Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Peyush Bansal, and a new shark, Amit Jain, were among the sharks featured in the commercial. As the teaser said, the former Shark Ashneer Grover won’t be in the forthcoming season of the reality program.

Who Is Amit Jain?

CarDekho is a popular website, and Amit Jain is the company’s co-founder and chief executive officer. Amit is from Jaipur and went to IIT Delhi. Amit Jain had a challenging but incredible journey before becoming the leader of this massive organization.

Amit and his brother Anurag quit their employment in 2006, and soon after, they established a business in Jaipur. The brothers had great aspirations when they started the software outsourcing business GirnarSoft.

They instantly had the thought of CarDekho, which changed the direction of their life. After visiting the New Delhi Auto Expo in 2008, Amit and Anurag developed the concept for their brand-new company, CarDekho. In less than 7 years, or 2013, CarDekho achieved profitability and secured $15 million in Series-A funding.

Currently, the corporation is worth 1.2 billion dollars. In addition to running CarDekho, Amit also operates InsuranceDekho, Rupyy, BikeDekho, and CollegeDekho. CarDekho, the industry leader in financing new and used cars, just expanded to Indonesia.

The new “Shark” in Shark Tank India 2 is Amit Jain. This new Shark’s surprise entrance is both exciting and surprising!
