Shilpa Lost Work Due to Negative Publicity
Kundra believes the media frenzy surrounding his case intensified due to his connection to a celebrity. He claimed that Shilpa, despite having no involvement in the case, faced repercussions like losing contracts and television work. He expressed his disapproval, stating,
“It was unfair that Shilpa had to bear the brunt of it. Attack me, no issues, she was collateral damage.”
Online Trolling Targets Shilpa Shetty Despite Raj’s Efforts
Even after his release on bail, Kundra claimed he and his family continued to face online harassment. He mentioned being labelled the “porn king” and expressed his concern about the impact on Shilpa, stating,
“Even today, trolls target Shilpa with terms like ‘porn king’s wife.'” He actively deleted and blocked such users but worried about the emotional toll on his family.
Shilpa Shetty Maintained Strength and Supported Raj
Despite the challenges, Kundra revealed his wife’s unwavering support. He shared, “She burst out laughing when she heard about the case and said it’s not true.” He emphasized their strong bond and her belief in his innocence.
Children Impacted by the Situation
The situation also impacted their children, Viaan and Samisha. While Samisha was too young to understand, Viaan, then 10 years old, was aware of the situation. Kundra revealed Shilpa’s request to Viaan to avoid searching for his name online due to the negative publicity. He also shared Viaan’s emotional breakdown on his birthday while Kundra was in jail.
