Superstar Shah Rukh Khan Celebrates 19 Years Of Devdas And Recalls How His ‘Dhoti Kept Falling Off’.

Recently Bollywood superstar one and only Shah Rukh Khan walked down remembrance lane on Monday as his romantic-drama Devdas completed 19 years. The film was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Devdas, also starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, and Jackie Shroff, released on July 12, 2002.

Shah Rukh took to social media handles to share a few stills from the shoot featuring himself, Bhansali, and his co-stars. In his usual cheeky, inimitable style, SRK heaped praise on the film’s team.

“All the late nights, early mornings, problems worked out bcoz of the gorgeous@MadhuriDixit, the stunning Aishwarya, ever cheerful@bindasbhidu, full of life@KirronKherBJP& the whole team slogging under the masterful Bhansali. Devdas, an adaption of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s novel of the same name, continues to be remembered for the moving performances by its three lead stars, opulent sets by art director Nitin Chandrakant Desai and Ismail Darbar’s soulful music.

Devdas, a classic with a brilliant cast, will always be recalled. On its 19th anniversary, Madhuri Dixit shared BTS pictures from the film, paying tribute to Dilip Kumar’s Devdas, which was released in 1955. The film was directed by Bimal Roy, Dilip Kumar’s Devdas featured Suchitra Sen and Vyjayanthimala as Paro and Chandramukhi.      Shah Rukh Khan

The superhit film Devdas was released in 2002 and was among the biggest hits of the year. The movie won 11 Filmfare Awards, including Best Film, Director, and Actor, and five National Film Awards including Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Choreography for Dola Re Dola.
